Shiatsu is a non-invasive physical therapy that stimulates the body's own healing powers. It is based on traditional and time honored healing principles from the East, and modern anatomy and physiology theory.

Shiatsu consists of specific pressure and stretches applied to the body in order to assess and treat various conditions. Due to their effect on the nervous system, Shiatsu treatments help relieve stress and pain, as well as improve muscle, organ, and joint function. This deep but gentle approach to preventative health care has many long term benefits for people of all ages.

Whole body health, shiatsu

“ Shiatsu means shiatsu as originated by the founder of shiatsu, Torujiro Namikoshi Sensei. It is the application of manual and digital pressure to the skin with the aim of preventing and curing illnesses by stimulating the body‘s natural powers of recuperation, illuminating fatigue producing elements, and promoting general good health.”

From- “ The Complete Book of Shiatsu Therapy” written by Toro Namikoshi

“Shiatsu technique refers to the use of fingers and the palm of one's hand to apply pressure to particular sections on the surface of the body for the purpose of connecting the imbalances of the body, and for maintaining and promoting health. It is also a method contributing to the healing of specific illnesses. ”
